Computer wont download anything windows 10

If I boot up in safe mode I don't have this disk issue. I know the issue is related to Windows Update because I can see that the SoftwareDistribution folder is constantly being accessed and that folder is where the updates are downloaded AFAIK.

When I open the Resource Monitor in safe mode those folders and files are not accessed therefore I can confirm that the disk problem is due to Windows Update malfunctioning. Anyway, do you have any idea of what I can do to fix this issue? They suspected that there was something wrong and that Windows was trying to fix it before letting new updates come. I don't know.
